- I think its long been decided from a "business model standpoint" that these brass makers are going to produce what they feel is going to make them the most money at the present moment in time. - Case & point - 300 Norma Mag & 338 Norma Mag. - The only reason that Lapua & Peterson "Jumped" was because of government contracts. - They surely didn't do it to "appease" the "accurate-shooters" here on this forum or any of the forms all combined, the total combined interest and actual amount of folks who've had guns built or bought (after announcement) is a mere pittance in comparison to what they feel they'll make off a government contract where they can potentially sell hundreds of thousands or even millions of pieces of brass in one contract award. - That's the world we live in, plain & simple from my point of view.
I still remain hopeful that at least one of the top quality manufacturers will make 300 WSM in spite of what I've said. There is a market for it, just not millions of pieces in a single contract as the government / military hasn't adopted it as part of their small arms to be issued / deployed to the service members. - If it did happen there'd be a rush for them to get their bids in, the tooling built for the production lines and away things would go. It would get announced just like Lapua & Peterson did when the contracts for 300 & 338 Norma came out.

I just got my BULK BAGGED NORMA 300 WSM.
200 PCS ALMOST TWO DOLLARS PER CASE
AND A SPREAD OF 244 TO 249.
there will be no 50 count lots with a small weight variation( like I get with 300 win mag)
brownells has nosler in stock
$84 per TWENTYFIVE.( it is sorted to 1 gr)
I would suspect 4 boxes from the same lot would give two 50's at a less than .5 spread.
I do not have that kind of money. $3.36 per case

Lawsuit was settled years ago.
5 companies make WSM brass ( Win, Bertram, Nosler, Federal,Hornady)
The WSM's are SAAMI and available to any manufacturer to build brass, reamers, dies etc.

Well I bought 400 pieces of Winchester. So I shall process it and sort it.... If Federals primer pockets held up better I would have gone with them..
I am feeling your pain. I have put a rifle together 300 WSM and the only brass I could find is used silver nickel or new very poorly made Winchester. I would really like to see some good brass. hoping Hornady would make some. But I feel like the 300 WSM is dying. every few years they would come out with a new caliber.

They’re too busy making 7.62x54r brass and chasing business already covered by other top quality brass manufactures. I.e. x47s, BR, 308, creedmoors, Nosler, etc. The competition among manufacturers helps us keep the pricing in check but doesn’t make sense to go after the me too business.
Sounds like you have a future making brass,seems you have the brass biz all figured out.
