Lapua Brass

I am about to reload for the 6.5X47 with new Lapua brass. Is it recommended to FL size them first?

I wouldn't bother. Make sure they chamber, and check the necks, some get dinged, and send em.

Drop each one in the action opening, close the bolt. Did it close with no resistance? If so, load it up and go shooting.
If not, figure out why and start over.

If you have a mandrel run it to make sure the cases are round and set tension debur and load them up.

Before I had a mandrel I just loaded and shot. Now I will at a minimum run a mandrel through the necks and boogie. I see no difference in procedures but whatever. Have fun

No you don't need to size new Lapua brass.
I would run a mandrel down the neck. Their necks are usually tight from the factory. Just me.

No, you do not have to size them, that is unless you are looking for accuracy.
