Lapua brass quality control issues??

I got this 6.5X47 Lapua brass in the mail today. Has anyone had this problem? I find this to be intolerable at the price point of over a dollar per piece.

That’s crazy. Looks like a shipping problem and not a manufacturing problem. Some serious banging around happened somewhere along the way.

Use a tapered expander and the dents will iron out.

I once got a bag of brass (Nosler box 300WM) that had obviously been struck by something very heavy, the cases were dented ON AND ABOVE THE BELT by 1/8” or more.
Got a new bag and an additional bag for warranty, never used that brass again, however, it was VERY soft.

Cheers.

When you order Peterson Cartridge brass, it will arrive in 50-round plastic boxes with the Peterson Cartridge name.

Box was not sealed. I agree that its a shipping issue not manufacturing issue. I was venting lol. Thanks for the advice guys.

Several the mouths are torn.
It almost looks deliberate , but why would anyone sabotage a box of brass ? I don't blame you for venting, I would be upset too if my new brass looked like that .

Got a box of Lapua 260 brass from Midway Saturday. Came in a padded envelope. About 30 pieces of brass were loose in the bag outside the box. Box was snapped closed but not sealed. A bunch of the case mouths were deformed, all were salvageable. Not what you want to see.

Midway shipped 200 match bullets to me in a plastic bag. The bag made the trip but some of the bullets did not. Never ordered from them again.

Several years ago I received a box of 6.5 x 47 Lapua. Some of the necks were so bad I had to take a small needle-nose pliers to open up the necks enough to get a mandrel in there so I could run them into my F/L die. Many of them actually had the shoulders dented in extensively. I finally got then necks straightened out and fireformed them to blow out the caved-in shoulders. This was the WORST brass I saw coming out of a box. Now Kevin ??? who was the Lapua rep at the time, sent me 25 new pieces for my trouble. Never had that scenario again..

That’s exactly why I stopped buying items from Midway. Had a similar situation with a box of Lapua brass. Plastic box was broken and some of the brass was boogered. It came in one of those shitty padded envelopes. When I contacted Midway, they gave me some song and dance about how the packaging they use is appropriate for mailing. I’m sure it is. It just isn’t appropriate for preventing damage.
