Lapua brass, is it worth it

Absolutely! I use it in .260 and .308 and wish they made it in 25.06 because I would use it in that too. It does cost more but I really do think it's worth it, it's very consistent and last a long time.

I have necked down 30-06 Lapua brass to make 25-06. The neck thickness increases which necessitates turning them. I also do my normal brass prep like uniforming primer pockets etc. After these steps are completed you end up with some great 25-06 brass. As a side note, I attempted to neck down some once fired 30-06 factory loads that resulted in collapsing the shoulders.

ABSOLUTELY. If you believe what accomplished and notable shooters have written, a part of their success is CONSISTENCY. That is what Lapua brass does for you. I spent a summer a few years ago testing and comparing just about every make of brass available on the market. And though I only tested them in one caliber (.308), using the same rifle that had a newer put proven barrel (Kreiger 1:10) on it, I used the same load, same bullet and loaded 15 rounds of each brass make in order to shoot 3-5 shot groups @ 100 yds. I then shot my .308BR from the bench rest position. The results, down range, showed me my best and most CONSISTENT groups came from Lapua brass, bar none. I will say Lake City Match looked really good, and beats many of the other popular brass used by many folks today. Call it what you will, but I'm sold 100% that Lapua brass gives you the best chance to shoot your best groups and scores, bar none. And NO, i don't get a cut in brass price from anyone, just buy Lapua for any of my Benchrest rifles. The only exclusion to that is I do not use Lapua brass in my gas guns because they are harsh on the brass and LC or WCC is the best way to go there.

I use Lapua brass for competition, it is great, love it. However I use Winchester for every thing else, It is cheap and durable for the price. Lately they have dropped some quality. I am sure that will pass.

Usually. There are exceptions. If you're shooting a factory barrel, stick with the cheap stuff. If you don't require sub MOA accuracy, stick with the cheap stuff. If you lose a lot of your brass for whatever reason, check your wallet first.

Yes i really like it. But i was using Norma first for my accuracy loads. And to me they are very close. Also wasnt Norma the go to brass several years ago before Laupa became so popular? I think either one will work fine at least for my abilities.

Lapua brass is great and is as consistent in capacity as any out there. If you aren't getting fairly good accuracy to begin with from your rifle and loading techniques don't expect the Lapua brass to make up for other shortcomings though.

It will last longer than most brass which can make it more economical than brass that has loose primer pockets after 4-5 firings but if you only have a 1 MOA rifle, using Lapua brass won't make it a .5 MOA or less rifle. Adjust your expectations to the realities of your situation.
