Lapua 6mm Dasher, factory brass ???

Ultimately I guess it’s all what the individual shooter feels comfortable with. Dashers require a lot of time for case preparation. Some top benchrest shooters prefer to have control over their finished product. BRA shooters like that they don’t have to spend as much time on brass. There are so many other variables that come into play in shooting extremely small groups at 1000yds I would have to write a book. But for the official record, if you follow Williamsport, for the past 2 years the small group of the year fell to a Dasher. One light gun and one heavy. Both in the 3’s.

Do you actually believe what you are typing?? You have extensive experience with BOTH the dasher and BRX to validate these claims??

Don’t know why I’m pipping in here, I started shooting a Dasher about 4 years ago. I’m on barrel number 2, with number three in the wings. I learned how to fire form, used COW, got great cases. My concentricity is mostly under .001, for cases and loaded ammo. I shoot only 108 Berger’s at ~ 2950 FPS, my SD is under 5, and besides all this stuff, I’ve been winning mid and long range matches. So, I guess I figured it out, what works for me, so why would I change? The Dasher is like a good women, I might take a look, and there may be others out there, but once you try them you realize you had it pretty good. There will be those who wonder if the grass is greener on the other side of the fence, while they’re figuring out that new wonder banger, I’m throwing them into the X ring.

Yes. You seemed to be implying at the time that Bart was overly optimistic about the BRA being better than the Dasher, or claiming, to use your words, that he was going to “set the world on fire” with the BRA, like he claimed he would do with the Grinch.
Actually I could not find where Bart claimed he was going to set the world on fire with the Grinch or the BRA. I know you were just using it as a figure of speech. But, he has done a fair to middling job of starting some pretty hot fires with the BRA.
Of course, I am not real smart, but just smart enough to know that he could have done the same thing with the Dasher.
