Lapua 6mm Dasher, factory brass ???

No kidding, shooter see, shooter doooo,
The 6BR BE (6BR BRA Eater) or the 6BR High Speed, requires no special brass of any type except Lapua 6BR, the correct powder and chamber and I use and like a 30" bbl.
3010fps all day every day but thats in Nor Cal. Results may vary.
Lapua will never offer DA or BRA brass, no reason to. they are smarter than that.
I wish i was shooting more BR these days, this is just to tempting, however F-open has captured me for now.
Agree fully, Barrels and Bullets,
A new broom sweeps clean.

A buddy of mine has a reamer throated out to use the norma brass. He's told me you cant just put the lapua charge in the norma brass, or youll knock out the primer pockets. Though if you back off, I think he said you get the same velocity, and they seem to be holding up for him, after reducing powder to match the brass. They must be a little thicker than the lapua cases.

If Lapua had made brass for this one about 45 years ago things would be very different.

Do you actually believe what you are typing?? You have extensive experience with BOTH the dasher and BRX to validate these claims??
I have lots of BRX experience especially mid range type competition. The amount of BRX S to the Dashers compared to the wins, yeah, I am totally comfortable with the BRX. My question to you is why are so many Dashers shooters flocking to the BRA. Shooters win matches, not cartridges.I forgot, we need to keep the commercial side going.

Shooter see, shooter do.
It is unfortunate so many of the newer guys are gong down expensive roads of deception and false data.
So many are trying to sell programs of success that are just ill founded and self serving.
Sad but true.

There is still a long way to go, the season has just started! At the end of the season let us see who has the most records and Agg's won. My money is still on the Dasher, and the 300 WSM.

ts pretty skewed data when there are so many more folks shooting Dashers, and it s one of the greats no doubt, however if everyone shot any of the top picks or that was he majority of what wascout there any given year that is what would take to top honors regardless of any slight differences .

Now wait just a minute you said in your other post! It is unfortunate so many of the newer guys are gong down expensive roads of deception and false data.
So you believe there are going to be almost as many going to the BRA, and from were I see it some of the top shooters.
So let's see how it plays out this year.
I know our club has had a lot of guys trying it right now.

6 Dasher is made from 6 BR brass, except for one or two factory offerings - which guys seem to seldom use. I personally would say these are the most widely available.

6 XC brass has a few factory options, pretty rare, but it can be made from a handful of cartridges.

Again, a few places make 6ppc brass, not so common, but I think it’s safe to say most guys make it from Lapua 220 Russian cases.

Honestly, I wouldn’t worry too much about the availability of any of them. Find your brass and buy more than you need, treat it well, and enjoy it for a really, really long time. Start looking for restock before your first set of cases burns out.

Pressure is pressure, the bullet doesn’t care about what case is behind it. It requires a given pressure to accelerate a bullet to a given velocity. When that bullet exists the barrel at 3000fps it could care less about what case is behind it. As a competitive shooter all I care about is the next 9 all leave the same.

Sure, but some cases seem to do a better job of making the same pressure curve each time and sending the next 9 on the same path.

I'm in agreement with those above: When 50% of the top shooters bring Dashers, the deck is stacked in favor of Dashers. If 50% bring BRAs then you can expect more BRA wins.

If you normally place in the 90th percentile, switching from a Dasher to a BRA won't magically move you to the 95th. There just simply is not enough between them.

I'd love to see 6 Dasher long brass from Lapua. I'm considering a barrel on Norma long Dasher, but I don't like having only a single supplier for a critical component like brass.

If Lapua made it, we would follow. Wouldn’t matter which improved br case it was.
Just a guess but I’d say 80% of Lapua brass is bought by benchrest shooters. But yet I don’t think Lapua makes brass for anything that isn’t factory chambered by gun makers.

Because Lapua doesn't make Dasher brass. :)

lapua knows they dont need to make 'dasher brass.
Dasher ballistics are easily accomplished using standard BR brass.
Those that know, know,, others,,, carry on.
