LAPUA 6mm BR REM

I don't own a 6BR, never have and probably never will. I do collect competition cartridges. Can anyone tell me when the LAPUA 6mm BR REM brass was made? Not 6mm BR NORMA.

Ray, I've never seen or heard of Lapua brass with a 6mm BR Rem headstamp. Do you remember where you heard of it? Just curious...

Not only heard of it but ...

I think it was one of the prototypes which never went into production. I'm trying to track down when they may have made them.

Very interesting. The flash hole looks like it was punched from the insude, I can't imagine how or why. It certainly doesn't look drilled!

I will ask someone local about those large primer 6.5x47L cases you're looking for - he may have some,or not...).

I may get corrected but I was told Remington made 6mmBR brass but it came with large primer pockets. The may be exceptional in sub zero weather but want hold preasure like small primers. The Remington 6mmBR brass has never been up to the same level of Lapua. They actualy suck in 6mmBRX and Dasher applications. one to three shots and throw them away. This Brass marked 6mmBR Rem appears to have a large primer pocket.

I think that the flash hole in the pic has had a de-caping pin of tooo large of dia...shoved thru it!!!....there was a lot of confusion and wrong parts and piecs being used in the primitive stages of the the ctg,,the rite ones were just not available or even being manufactured )) ...we are fortunate in these days to just dial or klik and get our stuff....Roger
