Lapua 6 br

Lapua holds pressure great and shoots very consistent without issues.
I have not but friends have
I have not but others have.
I witnessed a world record shot with Alpha brass, but other guys have trouble with Alpha, I don’t need trouble.
Comparing Alpha 6BR with Lapua gold box, outside measurements are identical. Alpha 6BR and 6BRA is about 5gr. heavier than Lapua.. Looking at the cutaways you can see where the extra weight is. I haven't shot the 6BR stuff in my chamber yet (my reamer) but don't anticipate any problems. Do use Alpha 6BRA and the stuff works just dandy. Alpha Dasher brass is about 10gr. heavier than gold box Lapua 6BR, extra weight appears to be in the base. The world will keep going just fine without Lapua.

that's because they didn't have the two matched correctly (chamber and brass) or the brass really wasn't process correctly by the shooter.. i use alpha brass in a non alpha chamber.. i have no issues with it.. just gotta do your set up correctly.. if ya don't.. you'll run into trouble .. pretty simple really..

Reamers aren't always what the print says they are. Prints usually have something saying measurements are +/- .001, or .002, I've seen both. So just because its's supposed to be a certain size doesn't necesarily guarantee that it is. I've had a couple that were like that. The worst is a 22-204 that's too tight for Win blue bag to even think about chambering.....it's used as a roughing reamer now.
