Hey guys as some of you know I am having a new 6BR built. I have decided to use the 87grn V-Max for shots from 0-to-400 yards. However, I am trying to decide on a long range bullet. I am going to use the 105grn A-Max, but I have been told the 105grn Lapua Scenar is an awesome bullet and does very well out of .236 bore barrels. My barrel is a Bartlein 1-8 twist with a .236 bore, so I am thinking this is the way to go.
The bullet review rates them as the Flag ship bullet for the long range 6mm. They also state that the BC is understated. I have been told by other 6mm shooters that the 105grn Scenar is a great bullet for long range shooting and varminting. The bad thing, they are about 5 to 6 more dollars compared to the Sierra's and Bergers and 12 more dollars compared to the Hornady 105grn A-Max. I 've been told they are worth the extra $$$$. What do you guys think?
