Just wondering.....just used the last of my lapping compound lapping in a new set of rings. Wondering if IOSSO would work for lapping in rings.

I think I read here that it was 1000 grit. My Wheeler kit came with 220. I opted to use 400 instead.

Permatex..valve grinding compound will work.

I like 600 grit myself.

Permatex Valve Lapping, Clover Valve Lapping or even No.7 Rubbing compound
No.7 seems about 60 micron finish but I cannot find any Mfgr. Specs for the grit size used.
Just what I can observe with a 30x Jewelers loupe compared to 60 micron diamond compound
