Thanks everyone for your comments, and I had never thought about the jewelers rouge for the mirror finish.

If you are getting single lug engagement you need to true them in a lathe first. Being careful to not take your gun out of primary extraction. If required be prepared to move your bolt handle forward and retime it. Lapping an untrued bolt only makes the problem worse.

How does it make it worse? Not trying to start a argument or debate. I want to learn and understand. Not trying to hijack either, since the op's question has been answered thought I'd ask. Thanks
 
Jb bore bright is what I use. Threads, lugs and other stuff. Sure can go finer but it's what I have and it works ok for my guns. Purple can. Always follow up with grease.
