Lanolin & isopropol alchol lube mix

I have found like DHall_37 except I use 12-1 ratio. I have found also after you put them in the bag and roll them around you need to let the liquid dry or evaporate for a couple of minutes. Seems to work better that way. Since using this I have never stuck a case or had dents. I also still use Imperial Sizing Die Wax for smaller quantities. Try the lanolin mix you will like it. You will also be amazed how far a few sprays will go. If you use alcohol make sure to use 90% or greater.
I think I stated my mix wrong it’s the same as yours mostly isopropyl alcohol and just a little lanolin. The opposite would be way to thick!!

This is what I use. 1oz mixture goes a long way. Don’t know anything about the PEG75.
If you have Amazon Prime look down below the link I posted and look at the frequently bought together. It gives a link to 99% alcohol. I don’t know about buying a chemical resistant plastic bottle as I bought a cheap one at Walmart that works fine.

I toss my cases in a gallon plastic bag , give them a few squirts of the HEET/Lanolin mix then shake them up. Then I stand them in a reloading tray till dry. Keeps me from getting lube where I don't want it

Get the 99 % alcohol from the local drug store, they will probably have the liquid lanolin also.
The 99 % has less water content and dried or evaporates quicker. 9 parts Alky to 1 part lanolin.. Same mixture as Dillon case lube.
Using a regular pump spray bottle works well ,any lube inside the case mouth will attract powder.
Never thought about the plastic bag trick. Good Idea.

Happy shooting to all

I wouldn't think the alcohol mix would be a big deal. I personally keep hand sterilizer(90% alcohol I think) next to my reloading bench to clean my hands as well as some parts as needed. It sure as hell is no where near my my torch annealer while being used. Now Naptha? that stinking stuff is another story. I'm curious about the HEAT product. I bet it has an aroma itself given what its for.
I will also comment that location dictates what we do. My reloading/gun room/office are all a part of my house. End of the hallway, right next to utilty room AND my AC intake. You can bet your butt I'm not getting away with nor have a desire to get too carried away with cleaners and such in there. Those that have a reloading room in a separate layout/building have a lot more flexibility.

I don't understand this. You keep hand sterilizer to clean your hands and parts?
What would you be doing at your reloading bench that would cause to have to sterilize instead of just soap and water?

The alcohol cuts through the typical "smut" from handling cartridges, dirty cleaning paraphernalia and such. The alcohol also cuts through sharpie marks on cases when I have been doing load development.
I'm not a germ freak or anything like that. It beats the smell of vinegar which I have used for cleaning ink and such off brass.

I used to use the Lanolin but it always seemed to leave a sticky residue I hated and of course, removing it requires an extra step.

I went to Hornady wax. Wipes off easily with a dry microfiber.

I use the alcohol/lanolin mix. I tend to deprime and size large batches, so I dump cases into a plastic container hit it with a few spritzes and shake it around. I never seem to need to directly spray into the necks. Seems enough lube gets into some to keep everything lubricated. I dump that batch into the case feeder and spray another batch and let it sit for the alcohol to flash off. I have found heating the mixture by letting the sprayer sit in a bowl of hot water improves the spray. For a bolt gun I just wipe the cases since they don't usually hit the ground. For semi autos I run it through a corncob polishing to remove the lube so sand does not stick to it.
