Like @Northridge is pointing out, it is best to verify with follow up testing.I know the light green group was tiny tiny and it’s close to what I have been shooting in charge weight but where would you explore on that target ? I will reshoot in better conditions next time Thank you
I don’t want to waste components but I have bought up more than enough powder, primers and pills to put this barrel in the grave.
You can either shoot the same distance and see how well the results repeat, or you can shoot it farther to see if the compensation will hold up.
The Audette Ladder ignores the horizontal and focuses on the vertical.
The OCW ignores the group diameter and focuses on the group centroid shift.
When you run multiple shots at the Audette Ladder, you can combine the concepts and average or centroid the shots. If the follow up tests are shot in a different temperature, you should expect a slight shift. If the follow up tests are shot at a different distance, you will not be able to combine the shots, but you will trade this for more "leverage" against the dispersion.
Your test shows some dispersion that hurts the resolution. If you have the time and inclination to repeat the testing, you will then combine these results with the new ones to select your best prospects and go from there into group shooting or into depth testing.
If this is early in your load development experience, you owe it to yourself to test the width of your load window, and to test in different temperatures. Wind will always be there, so the methods at distance will always need to take those into account.
