LabRadar Taking Orders

Looks like LabRadar is taking orders for their chronograph. The email I received from Long Range Hunting says they will be testing one next month and then coming out with a review article. The 1st shipment is due in May.

I'd love to see accurate shooter test one of these units. I'd consider plunking down the $600.00 if it's all they say it is and if it's made to last.
My plain old Chrony Beta master may not be the best unit out there but it's survived a dozen plus years and at $100 if it does go down I'll just toss it and buy another. Can't do that with a $600 unit.

They have been dangling a carrot on a stick for nearly 2 years now. :-\

If it's everything it's cracked up to be, I'll purchase one. Vaporware is rarely not revolutionary.

I read the article on Long Range Hunting, and watched the attached video. It looks like a real cool unit, at least conceptually. I have one question on the unit: It is activated by the shot report. What keeps it from being activated by the big muzzle braked hammer on either side of me at the range, and from measuring my neighbor's bullet speed? It might be the next big thing, or it might have some issues that would come up for me. I'm in the market for a new chrono because my old Pact that cost me $110 about fifteen years ago seems to have given up the ghost. I have been thinking Magnetospeed so far.

Best Regards,
Jim

It's says July because they have already pre-sold all of the units for the may shipment. That was from the monthly email update that I got.

I bit the bullet and ordered one from them in the beginning of March. Hopefully it's as good as they say. Well that and they actually deliver when they supposed too.

From what i read about it, they claim there are settings on it that you can adjust so it doesn't pick up the guns being fired on the side of you while at the range. If it works as advertised and is a durable unit it should be pretty sweet.
