There seems to be confusion as to what Labradar units are blue tooth capable. From Labradar : all current production units are bluetooth capable except for the Labradar Lite. FYI
Wow. I didn't know there were better ones out there that don't break the BT connection. It has been my only real complaint about the design since they came out. I really like the things and would really like to have a day where it didn't break the connection. My units were built in the last few years and I have not had an issue with Bluetooth connectivity. Contact Labradar. They've been most helpful in my experience.
Frankly, it would be best for you to contact the folks at Labradar. I don't think they've changed anything but I could be wrong. I will reiterate they have been very helpful in my experience!I got a question if someone with a new unit will humor me....
Is there a chance that new ones with the BT are more reliable than the originals?
Like many here, I have had mine since they came out. I liked the BT since it meant I could arm/disarm without breaking position to touch the unit. That alone was a huge improvement for my use, but it is very annoying when that connection breaks and your rhythm stops to re-establish the connection.
So... do the newest ones also break their BlueTooth connection?

Thanks.
When the blue tooth connection gets lost, how do know you the issue is not your tablet or your phone?
Phone works normally. Almost never have problems with other Bluetooth devices (and when I do, it's generally 2 BT devices interfering, which, granted, shouldn't happen, but still...) When shooting there is only the LR BT connection in play.
But to answer your question, I don't know positively that it is the LR. Since everything else works (and has over 4 different devices -phones and tablets), I am deducing the LabRadar is the problem.
Yes and no.Am I not correct?
I agree with this. Most times my LR is set up away from me so when I have to push any buttons on the unit I have to get up and off the gun.Yes and no.
They didn't make it easy to re-establish the connection.
The issue requires me to stop and at least cycle the arm/disarm button on the unit if it was already armed.
The issue also requires be to break position and get up to touch those buttons, which is not great for concurrent group testing or tempo if you are also concerned with heat during match strings.
You can then decide if you will re-connect, or just roll and let the unit record.
I know I am sounding picky about the disruption, but breaking position to arm/disarm is far from ideal for serious work.
