Labradar App released

OK, I'll take the hit on this one so that others can be spared the embarrassment.

I initially could not get my Samsung S8 to connect...then I turned ON the BlueTooth on my phone. Seems obvious, but might need to add to the instructions....

Yeah running into connectivity issue using my Moto G5S. You have too ensure your location and Bluetooth is on however I've been trying to connect indoors and don't know if it requires a GPS signal in order for it to work. We'll have to try it outdoors. Reloaded the firmware twice and the app as well. The bluetooth symbols turns on the lbr however no connection.

Nope, you're there. Just make sure the Radar is on then tap those two curved arrows in the upper right corner of the app. It will search again for your unit.

I tested the app out with my android tablet and it kept losing the Bluetooth connection for some reason. I noticed the Bluetooth symbol on the Labradar would appear/disappear from the screen. It’s nice when it works and prevents from breaking position while in the prone.

There are definitely some connectivity issues going on. I will test with the IOS app tomorrow to see if there are still connectivity issues.

I had similar connectivity issues today at the range. After a short while, three shots or so, the Bluetooth would lose it's connection. I was able to reconnect by turning the Labradar off and then on. The good news is that when I re-established a link, the shot data was saved in the Labradar and the Android app too. Later in the session, the problem disappeared and I'll have to say I really enjoyed the ease of use of the app. It's a big improvement.

I've had the connection lost between phone and labradar several times. Not sure why. There are times it's working, looses connection but labradar is still armed and working. I have to disarm the unit before I can connect the app. I set my phone screen to stay on, but not sure if it times out somehow? I dunno...kinda random and annoying connecting mutiple times...

Well finally got a stable connection. I took it outside my house where maybe the location signal on my phone is better. Tried searching for the unit on the phone first before turning the lbr on, Turn the lbr on and off then connecting it. What ever isit working and seems stable at least outside. If I had to venture a guess to what the issue was it would probably be the 'location' signal strength.

Interesting, when I'm home next weekend I'll try it in the backyard and see if that does the trick.

got mine up and running on an Android phone. cool capability. i had to re-format my SD card in order to get the new firmware onto the LabRadar. going try it out tomorrow

used the new App today, it worked like a charm. much more convenient way to control the device. now i just have to figure out how to change the display on the phone from meters per second to FPS. i have it set to read FPS on the unit itself

1. swipe the labradar logo (top left) from left-to-right:

2. The swipe should expose the menu -> select "Settings" from the menu:

3. The settings page appears - now you can change the application settings as well as the labradar settings:

Admittedly, I do not have a Labradar yet, But I am buying one the first chance I scrape up some cash. I am just wondering what the benefit to the cell phone connection is? Is it just ease of viewing shots statistics? Thanks

Version 1.1 of the iOS app has been released. Version 1.2.1 firmware update is available for download also.

Basic answer is yes. Ease of use, ease of viewing. The radar works fine, but overly complicated at times doing certain functions. The app does it all and you can stay on the rifle to see the results easier.

If all the app did was allow you to arm the unit from your shooting position, it would be a worthwhile addition for convenience. It does a lot more.
