Great timing! I just received my new Labradar Wednesday and haven't had time to fire it up yet. Weekend is coming ...

I assume there is a way to check what firmware is already installed ...

Got the email. I'm the "admin" for our clubs Labrador as one member calls it. Gotta go get an SD card so I can get the firmware in the unit before some club member starts calling me every 15mins asking if I have the firmware installed. Wish the email came yesterday as I already came and went to club today. 40mi round trip. The Labradar chrono is one of those things that I dont know how I got along without for some many years. I had a chrono and the club had a Oehler but it was a purple pain in the butt. Some people still swear by it. I still swear at it.

Yep. Turn it on. Upper left button scroll through to last which is "About" and hit the center select button on the right side. Voila.

this has been a needed function since day one.
if you put the unit at the muzzle and sit at your stool,
you cannot turn the unit on.
the major drawback...glad it has been addressed.

The version I installed did not have the option to read in FPS, only meters per second. It connects just fine and shows all of my data but the android only shows m/s not FPS.
Perhaps ther is another version I missed

Swipe screen left to right and you can set everything.

Or you can touch the LabRadar icon in the upper left of the screen and then Settings. You can set to FPS there.

My Samsung S7 can't connect to the unit, other Android users reporting similar communication errors. Hope they fix it quickly.

My Moto Force won't connect, but the Google, and Verizon tablet won't connect.

The Moto Force is on Android 7.1.1 where the tablets are running 6.0.1

I think it's a security/permissions issue, I haven't tried to work around it much yet.

I've been playing with mine and it appears that you may be able to add a shot to a previous string. Has anyone one actually been able to do this?

Haven’t gotten to the range yet, but my iPhone 6s connected with no difficulty and I was able to configure settings through the app.
