I drop the powder via a thrower to get close to the charge weight, dump the powder into the scale pan then trickle up with the Dandy. Works pretty well and accurate to 0.02 grains, which is about 1 kernel of varget.
If I was loading under 50 or so cases at a time that would be what I would still be using. I thought it was the cat's arse at the time. Once my loading volume increased greatly due to match shooting I found the autothrower/trickler system was way more efficient and was within my budget. I still have my Dandy and won't part with it because I need a solid back-up unit if the AT system should take a dump while loading for a match.
