a little off,,when the big stores show up in town, the small shops that have been for years and have supported the town wind up locking the doors,,but if you pay attention to your localIf you have an Aldi's nearby, buy everything you can from them and just supplement from other stores. It's knocked 30% to 40% off our grocery bill. Their product lines have improved over the years. I still buy most meats from a local store that has it's own butcher shop so you know what you're getting.
Close by, we only have a Walmart and Kroger. Since a Save-a-lot went out of business, Walmart's prices have really shot up, close to Kroger's levels.
was in my local wally the other day and i told the guy at the gun counterWent in to my local Fred Meyer/Kroger store and while they had some pistols in the cases, all long guns were just gone. '21 and over' sign on the counter and no one around manning the area. Went across the street to Walmart.
i would like to see some back up data to support the antigun part. normally hand guns are the first to go , and the keep "hunting" stuff around. this seems the opposite. there is also just not selling stuff, so you get out.
The long gun rack (two of them) were full one day and completely empty the next. Handguns still in their display cases.
Displays for products unrelated to any sport were put up in the long gun racks.
all the better.. Kroger can sell food.. and our little gun shop can sell guns. Win win.
