KRAZY KLOTH

Just curious...has anyone ever considered or tried using a piece of KRAZY CLOTH cut to the appropriate size on a jag in lieu of Iosso or JB? It takes carbon off necks in short order, just wondering if it would work to remove the carbon in a rifle bore periodically?

I am sure it would work great on a bore! However, that would be a very expensive "patch" to use! You might get 5-6 patches tops and that's it. Also the "cloth" that Krazy Kloth uses breaks down and is pretty fragile. I don't think it would last that long in a dirty bore.

My thoughts were to clean the rifle bore in the normal fashion using regular patches and solvent.

Those stubborn carbon streaks that cannot be removed with a brush or patch after a typical cleaning regimen, that often require Iosso or JB is what I intended to try Krazy Kloth on. One patch every 400 rounds or so.

Very similar to Miracle cloth. It's embedded with a micro abrasive. I wouldn't feel great about using it in my bore. Like any abrasive, it can remove metal even if it's at a very minute level.

Telura 619: a type of carrier oil
Nepheline syenite: nepheline/feldspar rock material
Stearic acid: A fatty polar molecule normally used as a surfactant

Sounds to my untrained mind that the stuff works by having a bit of soap-like property (trapping removed material) augmented by a mild abrasive.
