I have a Kowa TSN-1 spotting scope that I would like to have cleaned, refurbished.

Had one done about a year or so, ago. There was a small fee, but don't recall what it was.

Sent mine to Kowa several years ago. Cost was $75. I could not have been happier.

I have one just like this with the X25 power and the verrible eye piece. Any Idea on the value of these?

I don’t know the value on them. I have had mine many years.

That is an old TS-1 not a TSN-1. The "N" stands for "NEW".

TSN-1 and TSN-2 are the non-fluorite glass versions of the TSN-3 and TSN-4. They go for $300-$400 on Ebay.

No problem, nice scope!

Mine has given good service but the only comment I'd make is they're not waterproof, even with a protective cover over the eyepiece. Found out the hard way at one particularly wet Nationals..

I finally contacted Kowa. Thought I would post their response and instructions in case someone else might need the info.
“Thank you for your support of Kowa Sporting Optics. I received your email regarding repair of your scope. To receive repair services we request that you contact our office at the number given below to request a return merchandise authorization (RMA) number. This RMA number will put your scope into our computer system and allow us to receive your product into our repair facility. After calling our office please pack up your scope and ship it directly to Kowa American Corp. Attn: Service Dept. 20001 South Vermont Ave. Torrance, CA 90502.

Received invoice for adjusting and cleaning my TSN-1.
$95, which I thought was reasonable. Very good communication and fast service.

Bought my TSN-1 in 1987 then had an optical tech waterproof its 25X eyepiece. He said the rest of the scope was waterproof.

They should be. One TSN-2 on Ebay currently listed for $1400!
I had a TSN-3 that I purchased for $500 in the late 90s. How I wish I had not sold it!
