Kowa spotting scope help

I have a 20+/- year old Kowa 77 (Old Style) spotting scope that spit the bits Saturday. Any idea of how to get it separated so I can attempt to fix?

Will the 25X bayonet style eyepiece fit any of the newer Kowa scopes? That would make it cheaper if I have to buy a new scope.
