Konrad Powers has left the range

Shocked to read this. I had the pleasure of serving on the HP committee with Konrad, always strong opinions but backed up with facts. He was way too young. My sympathies and prayers to his family.

Deeply shocked this morning getting the news of Konrad's passing from the life we all shared some precious moments of with him.

Many matches, many dinners, maybe not enough ice cream....

Rest in peace dear friend, you will be missed but never ever forgotten.

This is very sad to hear. I watched repeatedly Konrad’s high power videos over the last several years, and deeply appreciated his efforts to convey a competitive gentleman’s proper demeanor in matches, and secondarily, his unequalled diligence attending to nuances and details of his discipline. Enviable level of skill goes without saying. I thought of him like an anonymous and distant mentor. Didn’t need to have met Konrad to know what a fine individual he was, and the loss to our community we have experienced. Comfort and blessings to his survivors. His reach was wider than he knew, and he won’t be forgotten.
