Kodiak hunter class repeater??

The last several years i have sold off my custom single shot varmint rifles due to the type of hunting i am doing. I have had several repeaters built and sold off some, keeping what has touched the heart : I have had Kelbly build some rifles in the past and their products and service has been the absolute best. I would like to know from the people who have them or had them how the Kodiak hunter is being set up and used as a repeater. What different ways can be used if any and how reliable it is. I would like to build a repeater off this action in the future for hunting varmints here. I know that he offers 2 other actions that can be used but the kodiak i had in the past is what i would want to use. Thanks for any input and if anyone has this setup some pictures of the bottom of stock would be super if you could.

Mine are/were (sold a cupla of em ,,and regret it!!)...blind mag like a 700 ADL....so pics of the boottm of mine wouldnt do you any good.....some other floks hav used 700 BDL boottm metal and of course the Badger and other aftermarket types with and without detacable mags wuld work fine.....its the perfect repeater action ....flawless workmanship and the best of tolerances and R or L ports etc. ...I built my sons two of em years ago as preasentation rifles(one 243 and one 300 mag)....dont forget to the 20 MOA rib.....they are available in short or long action and all boltfaces......Roger

Are the bottoms cut out like on a Remington action? So you can set this up like the ADL or install say a PTG short action BDL floor plate with the box and spring follower and it will work set up for this action. Are you also saying that you can buy a Surgeon or Badger detachable mag system and use that?

YES..!!!!...the Kodiak is for Hunter class ...so it must have a mag to be legal..!!!!....you can get em witout a mag cut as an option....some true "B"enchrest shooters use em with solid bottom because they are a lil" lighter than a Panda since the cross section of the action is 1.375 vs the Pandas 1.400 (I think...my memorey is dwindling..).....be shure and specify for a safety cut on the side of the action...Tom hates to do em ..ahhahaha....Roger

Roger, I can't be any more happy after hearing that from you. You just got my mind set in motion for good things to come. ;D I can now vision the ultimate varmint rifle has been just set in motion from your good feed back. Thanks Roger for all your help. BTW a may use the Jewell with the bottom safety. I had 1 before but i can not remember if i had much room in the trigger guard with it or not.

the bottom safety will work nice...im just spoiled and like it on the tang......you will be very satified with any kodiak....dont forget the 20 moa rib .......and the port is available on either side!!!! so it can be RR or RL or what ever you want.....Roger

Will do and i believe you can have the picattany rail as an option i think?
