Kimber 84 or Cooper 22?

Same caliber,.308), same price. Both are eye candy with beautiful wood... Kimber has s/steel barrel, little fatter at muzzle. Cooper has CM blued.
Which one would you buy? Wish I could buy both

Driver,

If the Kimber is "Oregon" Mfg. I'd go that route, If not probably Cooper,If you want a repeater then Kimber )

Just my .02

Not exactly true, Dan Cooper donated to Obamas campaign fund, not the Cooper Rifle Company. Shortly after that the board of directors at the Cooper Rifle Company requested that Dan Cooper resign his position.

Regarding politics: everyone is constitutionally entitled to donate to and vote for anyone they so desire. As to what drove Dan Cooper to switch horses, I won't get into the executive and legislative branches performance over the last eight years because my head might explode.

My best friend just got a killer deal on a new Cooper 21 just in time for Christmas and all I can say is I wish I'd seen it first. Never been too impressed by Kimber.

Not sure about politics, but I bought a used cooper 21 in 22PPC and there are 2 incredible things about it. 1) it shoots. Unformed 220 Russian brass is giving me bug holes at 100 with just a recipe a freind said "try this". The second, and just as important in my mind is barrel fowling - there is none. I can shoot 25 rounds and never get any copper out of it. I have never seen a barrel like this. I use Pro-shot 1 step for powder fowling and what little carbon there is seems to come out with that, but when I use copper remover the patches come out with no hint of blue.

I used to laugh at my friend who paid $1000 more for his cooper than I did my CZ - for prairre dogs mine was just as mucha killer as his and I had more money in my pocket. NO more. I still love my CZ, but when cleaning takes away from shooting time the Cooper wins.

I went for Cooper. Didn't have chance to take it to the range, but the built quality is so good that I think the rifle is well worth what I paid. When it goes to factory rifles, I favor Europeans. But this Cooper beats the ones I've seen and held so far. The stock feels like it was carved out to fit my hands, incredibly comfortable.

What kind of money? My smith would charge me $800-$900 just for stock job. That would cover decent looking blank walnut, inlet, glass & pilar bed, install studs, buttplate, grip cap, grip checkering, and finish. We are talking just a stock so far. Than comes custom or blueprinted action, custom barrel, nice trigger and putting everything together... I paid $1150 for the Cooper shipped to my dealer

Well if you want to talk about whats cheapest then why not just buy a tikka they have the same accuracy potential as a cooper at half the price.

Well done I'm sure you will be happy with the Cooper. I own 2 and I love them both. I think they are a bargain for what you get, basically a hand built firearm that shows real craftsmanship, great accuracy and a company that stands behind their product.
