Kestrel 5700 Ballistic/Sportsman ??????

According to Kestrel the 5700 Ballistic or Sportsman will not calculate past 1200 yards, I have done some research and have found a few people that have gotten past 1200 yards with decent accuracy. My question is has anyone on here have either model and shot past 1200 yards consistently.

I know, I could get the Elite model but I really don't want to spend that much right now, maybe later I can upgrade the program. I shoot PRS and 22 PRS matches and hunting that gets out past the 1200 yards. I do have the Strelok Pro app but I am wanting the Kestrel for the weather and as a backup for the the
ballistics.

I have found a new Sportsman for $350, and MAP pricing is $399 on the Ballistic model.

I think if needed you can bluetooth the kestrel to Strelok for environmentals past 1200. The WeatherFlow Weathermeter is also another low cost way to add environmentals to Strelok. The Hornady 4DOF Kestrel is another good option but nothing really beats the 5700 Elite.

To my knowledge all smart phones contain an internal barometric pressure probe, and Strelok has an option to utilize this vs manually entering weather. Likewise for temperature, but obviously the phone is usually hotter than ambient air. Personally I have a low cost Kestrel only for wind and temperature and use Strelok and the phone for everything else.
