Kelblys service shout out

Last year I sold a Kelbly built thousand yard benchrest rifle to a friend of mine. After finally getting out to use it in late April of this year he had a reloading mishap and had a problem with the bolt. This was in no way Kelblys fault. He called them Monday morning figuring they should be able to fix it but at a cost he in no way expected them to fix it for nothing. He just got the bolt back re-nitrated and fixed at no charge even for return shipping! Now this is what I call service! It is beyond refreshing to know that there are companies out there that stand behind their product even though he is not the original owner! In today’s throwaway world “sorry for your luck Mr. i’ll sell you another one but the price has gone up“ this is nice to know! And I will work on my friend to become a member on this website!

I am putting together my first custom rifle. Posts like this actually steered me towards Kelbly.

I've been in contact with Ian himself and he's been very responsive. Just need to jump in the truck and run over there to drop off my barrel.

Kelbly folks are fine people. They are, I believe now in the third generation of family business. Few businesses survive the third generation, I sure hope Kelblys is one of them. I retired from a family business(second retirement) now entering the fourth generation. A fine family, hope it continues to grow as it did with the third generation. First retirement, business was in second generation when I left and now it is sold and gone. Neither of the kids wanted anything to do with it even though it would have made the millionaires in just a couple of years. Not sure if that said something good or not.

The commitment to customer satisfaction is exactly why I have used Kelbly's exclusively since my return to competitive shooting in 2006. They make extremely good products at a VERY fair price and back it up with no BS no hassle customer satisfaction.

I’ve never had a experience that wasn’t excellent with Kelbly’s. Most recent, just sent a really old bolt in to nitrite and install a TG ejector (didn’t have an ejector) and a new extractor. Bolt work came back beautiful (what I paid for), with a new firing pin, spring, shroud, cocking cam for nothing. Timed better and with .242” fall, just perfect with that vintage panda action. I had to order two sets of their rings to feel better about the free kit, whatever part/action/stocks etc. flavor ya need, they are stellar.

That's what they do.
The Farther taught his sons and grandsons the correct why to treat the customers and the tradition continues.
I count them as Friends of mine. They are Good People.

George built that business from the ground up. He was a block mason and laid the blocks for the building. I told George one year at Super Shoot that he could give his actions away and make a mint on all the extras. He said nice try but no deal.

He also laid the brick on Jim's home next door...
