My Atlas Tactical is one of the early ones. It has just under 2k rounds on it. I love that action. If you decide to sell yours let me know.
Very comparable action to your Tac 30. Same class, imho. Both are very good.Thank you everyone! I feel much better about it! You just don’t see to many builds on them. I’m excited to see how it goes. I was playing with it again this morning side by side to my stiller tac 30 and it does feel better then my tac 30. Should be off to the smith early this week and back early in the new year!

If given the choice, I prefer the Atlas too, but not by much and both are in the same price range. I think we agree on our favorite action maker, not mentioned here but both of these are very functional and good actions at their price point. Barrels are the heart of a good rifle. Specifically, I like the trigger hanger and the thread pitch. I also like the tg ejector and HD bolt stop but neither are deal breakers on the Stiller.Out of curiosity what is it that you prefer about the atlas to the tac 30?

I've been all through both actions and both measure good. Be careful when anyone claims finding issues here unless it was a screw up, that im sure either maker would remedy. The important part to remember in checking anything that claims tolerances in the low "tenths", is that the setup you use to verify those tolerances has to be much better than the part itself. Very few, if any home/garage machinists have the right equipment. Most lathes are pushed by these dimensions, brand new.
Not sure if the Tac action still uses ptg for their bolts, but I'm pretty sure they did and may still.
