Keith Baker Team Kelbly

**I'm only reporting**

Tonight I had one of those moments in shooting where everything comes together. I did something I didn't think was achievable. After finishing break in on a new barrel this weekend, I started load development today, and this happened. I shot 5 consecutive shots at 1000 yards, measuring .77 inches. My first 3 shots were .4 inches. I was scared to death to shoot the fourth. I shot it and it stayed .4 inches. Now what do you do? Terrified, I sent the fifth, and it fell in at .77.

This was one of the most incredible moments of my shooting life. I can't believe all the things that had to fall into place for it to even happen. And the most important piece of all of it is the amazing equipment I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to use, thanks to: Kelbly's Inc. (Atlas tactical action and rings), Hawk Hill Custom barrels (7-1/2 twist HP, 6mm dasher), MasterPiece Arms (BA competition chassis), Vortex Optics (Gen II Razor 7C), Capstone Group (including Lapua brass and Berger Bullets 105 hybrids), and Bix'n Andy (Tacsport pro trigger).

Sometimes in our lives, everything falls into place, and for one brief moment we capture lightning in a bottle. This was one of those moments, and how cool is that?

Great shooting by Keith! That's amazing. And from a bipod and rear bag with a PRS gun too.

For those who don't know Keith, he's a very accomplished national level PRS shooter.

That is awesome shooting! These things always seem to happen when we are NOT at a registered match! I had 2 such days, although not as dramatic as yours.. One time, at 100 yards, I was shooting a 30-06A.I. I had changed scopes and I was merely sighting it in. I shot 5 shots, as close as I know how to measure, at 0.016"! One time, at 600 yards, using a 6.5 x 47 and 130 Berger VLD, I was testing 2 different loads. One load shot a 5 shot 5/8" group! I have never equaled either of these aberrations again with any rifle or cartridge! "All the stars lined up" and they came into being. I don't shoot B/R so I would not have been at a match for either of them. I wish you were at a Long-Range B/R match when it happened>>>not just doing load development! That group would have blown everyone away!

Congrats, cool to see you thank the everyone/equipment that was part of this great feat. I hope the stars align for you many more times ,you sure do have the talent to take advantage if they do.
