**I'm only reporting**
Tonight I had one of those moments in shooting where everything comes together. I did something I didn't think was achievable. After finishing break in on a new barrel this weekend, I started load development today, and this happened. I shot 5 consecutive shots at 1000 yards, measuring .77 inches. My first 3 shots were .4 inches. I was scared to death to shoot the fourth. I shot it and it stayed .4 inches. Now what do you do? Terrified, I sent the fifth, and it fell in at .77.
This was one of the most incredible moments of my shooting life. I can't believe all the things that had to fall into place for it to even happen. And the most important piece of all of it is the amazing equipment I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to use, thanks to: Kelbly's Inc. (Atlas tactical action and rings), Hawk Hill Custom barrels (7-1/2 twist HP, 6mm dasher), MasterPiece Arms (BA competition chassis), Vortex Optics (Gen II Razor 7C), Capstone Group (including Lapua brass and Berger Bullets 105 hybrids), and Bix'n Andy (Tacsport pro trigger).
Sometimes in our lives, everything falls into place, and for one brief moment we capture lightning in a bottle. This was one of those moments, and how cool is that?
