Just Whining about Getting Old!

Had that very experience just the other day. Had to call my nephew to come over and see if he could start it. He could...
Same thing, I pushed a dead tree over with my tractor and had to cut it up and forgot how to start my chainsaw. After about an hour I figured it out, but I was wore out by then. But I did get it done. I'm only 80 next year.

I am 82 now and I could not have said it any better. I am up to two naps a day.
I texted this to a friend of mine recently: Naps are the payback for all the hours you’ve worked, all the overtime you’ve worked, and all the nights you’ve worked.

Collect the payback before it runs out….

Tangent, once you get to your early 60s old age won't be creeping, it will be coming at ya like a top fuel dragster.
Yes, I've heard that. I'm getting ahead of the game! He who slows down the slowest wins the race. I remember doing a 10k race in Nottingham, I was around my mid forties. Ran my best time, which was not fast, just behind was a guy a lot older than me. Turns out he was 70. I was impressed to say the least. It goes to show what you can do if you're consistent and have some luck avoiding any serious health issues.

I plan to take each day as it some and keep pushing forward, whilst keeping my fingers crossed!

Just turned 85 went out in the shop to get the chain saw , and though it was nailed to the floor .Can't believe how heavy it was , Last time I used I had NO problem using it .
Same here. It happens. For me, 9yrs of cancer treatment have taken muscle mass. But it's a fair trade, the blessings outweigh the negatives.
