Hi Sugar
The build is a savage axis that started life as a 243. re barrelled to a 308 . ershaw heavy magnum taper. 16 1/2 inch.
boyds tactical stock. with some modifications by me to fit my smaller hands. timney trigger. Warne maxima series rings swfa 3 - 15 scope. I was looking for a steel 20 moa base but they don’t make one afaik. so we used a tps base where 2 of the holes lined up and added 2 more. right now i'm in the middle of bedding it. then it will be dura coated flat black. Would love too get it shooting before winter.

Whew. That will definitely wake them up. I hunt with a 20" 30-06. I get picked on over the report of that rifle. But I love it.

Welcome aboard Steve, I'm also from NEPA, about an hour east of you in Stroudsburg, Pa, Shot for many years at Mainville Sportsman's Club, which is right in your backyard. Good luck with your build and if I can ever be of assistance, shoot me a PM.

Welcome to the site, Steve. You will enjoy all this. There is a wealth of knowledge here and most is everyone willing to share their opinions with you. Good luck on your build. Sounds interesting. Keep us informed as you progress.

Welcome Steve. Good luck with the build. you'll meet a lot of good guys, here. I did. Most of them know what they're doin.😳 I'm sittin on the rookie bench, still learning. There's more knowledge and info here than anywhere.

Thank you all for the warm welcome.

greg taylor i live about in the middle of danville milton and Washingtonville. Extra points if any of you have heard of the last one. My oldest daughter when she was in 1 st grade the teacher asked if anyone knew who the first president was. She raised her hand and proudly said George Washingtonville.

chuck hunter i have never been to that gun club but it is close. whats the furthest range they have there. i dont know of any local ranges that go past 200 yards. There is williamsport but thats like going from a soap box derby to the indy 500 lol.
