Just got back from shooting my 6PPC for the first time.

I have to give a big thanks to lucky lizard for the hook up on the rifle and hours of phone support. The gun is a Dan Dowling panda, tmbr, hart, jewel, 262 NK. Two months ago I had no idea what a 6ppc was and I’m amazed out all you have to do just to make a cartridge. Here’s a target at 100 yards. I should have used a backing as this was just office paper. Oh and the people at the range... What is that thing? LOL..

Now that's a good addiction. I'm addicted to . Love them 6ppcs
If you want to get the most out of your 6ppc. Read the book of Rifle Accuracy.
By Tony Boyer. Great read learn a lot . Great shooter. He'll teach you how to tune your rifle. Shoot often

There are some seriously talented benchrest shooters in the state of Washington. You might want to wander up to Tacoma, during a match, and have a look around.

He also mentioned your name in our conversation. In a good way!!

great feeling aint it to shoot small groups-i tried for the first time a switch barrel 6ppc on a panda f class rifle i have.with a lot of help from vince bottomley who some of you guys will probably heard ,of he steered me through the process of barrel switching.when i shot my first 100yd match with it i came second in sporter class, that is a rifle that is not a custom bench gun.best group was .268 that made me smile-i still am!
i love shooting f class but short range bench rest sure gets the blood flowing.

Great shooting. But they are not in the bull!! Only kidding this is a statement i make all the time. I have had a lot of guys who don't understand our methods to our madness say "Why arent they in the bullseye?" They just dont get the load development and load tuning gig. Keep up the good work.

Outstanding. I am in the same boat as you just a few weeks behind. I'm new to this sport (not shooting) and hope to hit the range tomorrow with my new to me 6PPC. As an earlier post stated, we have a lot of experience here in the soggy Pacific Northwest. I'm hopping to be ready to shoot at some events in Tacoma next Spring.

Sorry to butt in, but when you guys say Tacoma, what range are you talking about?

I've never competed in any type of bench shooting but I've managed to get some great groups out of my .22 ppc. I think it would be great to meet people who know more than I do.

Is there a competition schedule I could be a spectator at?

We also have club BR shoots all year long (weather permitting) at Kenmore range on the north end of Seattle. These are low pressure fun shoots and are a great way to get your feet wet in competition shooting. I am the match director at Kenmore and would be glad to help anyone interested in getting started. I also run an email list that keeps guys informed of the BR happenings in the area. (Tacoma, Kenmore, etc) For more info contact Rick Graham at rgart@zipcon.net

I have a PPC also. I dont shoot competition, but I do like just taking it to the range and seeing just how accurate it can be. I shoot 6BR's most of the time, and they have great accuracy also, but it seems like the PPC is just better.

Rick can also set you up with some nice wind flags - those really help when you're after those teeny, tine, itty, bitty groups! Don
