View attachment 1175069 Besides the Tikka, I have another 260 built on a FN SPR Action and Benchmark Barrel. It loves the 123 gr AMAX. Sample 5 shot group. I have shot 4 deer with the 140 gr AMAX out of my Creed. They do work well.

Nothing fancy, was a budget build. R700 SA, CBI remage barrel in 260AI Match, 1:8 twist. 26". Jewell trigger, 40xb stock (no bedding or pillars), sightron SIII 8-32x56 scope. Shot from a Cowan rest with a bag for a flat stock up front and a protektor bag in the back.

I have a Savage mdl 16 with a 24", 1-8 twist factory contour Shaw barrel that I use for deer hunting. I load Sierra 120gr Pro Hunters and could never find a load of H4350 that was decent, 1 1/2" best at 100. IMR 4064 however shoots about 1/2" at 100 yards.

Just picked up a 260 Remington in a tikka T3 lite . Any good loads for these things?

46.5 of H4831sc gives me 2860 fps from a 25" barreled hunting rig. Excellent accuracy to boot. Tough to beat the H4831 for the 260.

That looks AWSOME Alex! I still have one 260, one 260AI, and just finished a 6.5x47L on a Borden Mountaineer with a Bartlein 26 incher. Waiting on the stock from McMillan.

Lapua 123 Scenar / H4831SC @ 42.0 gr./CCI BR primer/Starline case, neck turned. Makes a smooth consistent 2850 fps. No sticky bolts, no mashed primers, nice tight little groups @ 200 yds.

260 Rem, 22" Douglas long chambered barrel, 10" twist, VZ24 action, VZ24 stock with barrel channel milled out but no epoxy. Weaver #45 and #46 two piece steel scope mounts with Devcon Steel putty under the mounts and Loctite 242 on the threads. Burris Low tactical rings with 6 screws on the cap and a bolt on the Weaver rail. IOR 2.5x10x42 scope with 1/2 mili rad reticule in first focal plane and moa turrets. Rubber tube extensions on both ends of the scope. Scope center is 1.9" above bore center.

A) 100 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip moly coated # 26100 bullet moly coated , 45.0 gr canister IMR4895, 2.940" over all length, almost no insertion of the bullet into the neck, due to the short bullet and long throat.

142 SMK over 43.7 H-4831sc in Peterson LR brass lit off with Federal 210M. Good to go to 1K no problem.
