Just An FYI If You Hunt or Recreate in Colorado

We in WA feel your pain. Our state house of representatives just passed a law were we are going to need a permit from the state to buy a firearm. To obtain the permit you have to attend a live fire training class put on by? You guessed it, the state. I'm sure there are more requirements but the base requirement to require a permit to buy a firearm disgusted me so much that I'm looking at moving back to America. I'm sure our state senate will pass it and our new governor will sign it. Think about it, a permit required to exercise a fundamental right guaranteed by the Bill of Rights. I think the leftists should have a permit to open their mouths in public discourse. I would run the class they need to take to obtain said permit.

It appears the state of Colorado has been Californicated beyond recognition?
Add Seattle, Dallas, Houston, NY City, The Twin Cities, etc to the list.
Grand Junction became a university town a few years back, add to that we have nearly 30 wineries, half dozen distillery’s, a plethora of breweries, and more pot shops than you can shake a stick at here on the western slope. Used to be a church on every corner in the community of Palisade, now there is a different way to get stoned on every corner.
The land and the weather are still amazing, but the culture has sure changed.

As I have stated in a previous post. The people of rural Co are such great, hard working ranchers that the privilege to meet when I went there to prairie dog hunt. American flags on the roadway, just made you feel good to be there.
As you can see, stayed out of the large cities. It is amazing how a plague can spread.

Used to be a sigh at the Oregon/ California border.
Welcome to Oregon, NOW go home.
Different sign now. "You'll come on in".
Oregon and Washington got the California "thing" now. :( (sorry)

im one of those "outsiders" that bought 50 acres in eastern CO a few years ago and in 5 weeks will be making the 12 hr trip to grand junction for a stay then on to Elbert Co. as we leave CA and the high taxes behind on our way to start a new life in CO. Upside is im not bring a CA mindset and stupidity of CA with me. Much happier to be ian 80% red voting county

Happy to have you here.
I hope the move is positive for you.
Lots of good shooting opportunities on both sides of the divide.

Im with ya there, I'm actually a Nevada Resident but have one foot still in Calif just for business reasons.
And hoping some things turn around even more
I dont want to just Abandon Ca altogether when I still see Supreme Court decisions going the People's way.
---if Calif crap creaps into NV, then I have a backup plan/family in Idaho.
Northern Calif sure is pretty though, but the Nevada Desert has its own kind of beauty.
