Jumping bipod?

I managed to get out and shoot 100 rounds or so today, I have a problem ( maybe it's not !) with the sinclair bipod jumping up on recoil. This happens especially if I am shooting of the bench, it is still there but no where as bad when I am in the prone position. I asume that this is a technique problem, does anyone have any pointers?

When shooting my 308, I exert forward pressure on the bipod by leaning in with my shoulder, but I think about it less when shooting the 6br or 223 off the bipod. Of course I am just using a Harris bipod, I have no experience with the Sinclair.

Hi,put a towel delow your bipod see if that help you.

your getting more jump on the bench because of the hard surface and you can't get you body behind the rifle at a bench.

i've found shooting prone if i get my body inline with the rifle it's better.

A friend was having a similar problem using a bi pod although it wasn't a Sinclair.the problem actually turned out not to be the bi pod at all but the wood work of the rifle but gripping the rear bag. SO, if your also using a rear bag this may be the problem. He solved the problem by applying polish to the leather and sanding back the wood work then applying a wood polish to reduce the friction between the bag and rifle.
Just a thought.
