JJ vs Sinclair....who owns either?

How would the Sinclair Competition rest compare to the JJ Industries rest ?

Does 1 stand out from the other ?

If you own either 1, what do you like/dislike about the rest.

I've had a Hart, a Bald Eagle, a custom stainless steel rest made by Gary Hayes up in Canada,, an old style Sinclair mounted on a Hart 1000 yard base, all with different top combinations. I've now had the Sinclair competition rest for a couple of years with two tops one for a 3" bag (Edgewood stiffer style available from Sinclair) the other adjustable for different forends both have thier own post and mariner wheel. I like it enough that I see no reason to change. I see no problem with the way the windage pivots. I too like Terry have set a new range record for our 500 meter Ground Hog Matches, and have won my share of first places finishes using it.
Is the JJ prettier than the Sinclair? Sure is. Is it better? Don't know never owned one. As you can see I've bought my share of front rests. Is the Sinclair my last? Probably, I like it that much.

I own a JJ. Windage tracking sealed the deal for me. I also like the 20# weight of the JJ better than Sinclair's 30#.

Thanks for all of the input guys. Would someone please point me to a picture of the NEW model style of JJ vs the OLD model style ? I'm not sure which bottom plate is the new style in the photos that I have seen.

Thanks

I would tell you to look at the Randolph machine rest. It is belt driven and is the smoothest of them all. One knob takes the place of the gross elevation, the mariners wheel, and the speed screw on the JJ or Sinclair. One super smooth adjustment or three?

The Randolph tracks back and forth on cross bars. It doesn't need to pivot.

I had Hart, Neo's, JJ. and Sinclair and i still use the Sinclair with some modifications. The JJ. and the 21 century and the Farley don't have enough vertical movement........jim
