I just pulled this out of the shipping box. Craftsmanship is amazing and the press is the smoothest I have ever run...by far. Quality comes at a price but there is no comparison. I can't wait to load some ammo with it. I just hope my wife never sees the photo of it clamped to a kitchen counter top, but I just had to run it!

What is the max case length?

It’s ideal for PPC’s and BR’s but I think it will size my 6.5x47’s. Doubt it would be long enough for seating with that cartridge but I seat with Wilson dies and an arbor press anyway.

They are $495 at Benchrite but they try to stock them. A little cheaper through John if you can reach him

Dave.

I think Jon's number is working again, I thinko_O

Very nice looking work of art! Enjoy it!

What made you decide to go for this one over a, let's say, Harrell's single stage?

I have a Harrell’s single stage and it’s a fine press. Then I got a JJ rest. The quality of that rest made me want to try this press. I wasn’t disappointed.

There are trade offs and compromise with everything you do. Stretch is one compromise you give up when you go for speed. You’ll not set any speed records with a JJ Loh but with the heavy pressure needed for some operations on some cartridges you’ll not be faced with inconsistencies due to stretch.

Looks like a interesting, and well made press for sure, especially for smaller cartidges, and standard 7/8 dies.
But that there is no comparsion in quality and craftmanship i would question.
Have you ever tried or seen a Praezi press made in Germany?
CNC machined on a high accuracy 5 axis machine, precision ground, and hard chromed bearing surfaces, perfectly concentric and aligned, makes most other presses look like toys:)
My big one set me back about 1200 euros though when delivered, and that's some years ago.
The only press that so tightly fitted i can leave the ram in the middle of the stroke without it moving at all, weighing 32 pounds it's slightly hefty though.
I've tried most of the normal offerings, and i've ended up with 2 of these and 2 hydro presses from 21st and not looking for anything else again. Wether it's economically sound is another question all together though.

The Präzipress is a fine piece of engineering but it is hardly portable like this JJ Loh press or a Harrell's.

You are correct in that it will FL size a 6.5x47L case. I, like you seat all my pills with Wilson seating dies.
