I am approaching 6000 +- rounds on a BR trigger. Cleaned several times., but what is the expected life span? Thanks
#8 is the piece that breaks on the HVR model. The BR trigger is designed differently. The BR trigger lacks that small piece that always seems to break. So I would assume that it should last a lifetime if used and cleaned properly.
I have one in a M70 that I used to shoot ATC that likely has 10k+ and has never been apart.I am approaching 6000 +- rounds on a BR trigger. Cleaned several times., but what is the expected life span? Thanks
I've had two that had to have the sears replaced. Rolled over right where it picks up the bolt but otherwise they have been pretty darned durable. I miss them. Use a bore guide to keep crap like patch lint out of the trigger and if you oil your bore store the rifle muzzle down.I don’t think you can wear one out. Most breakage is caused by blanked primers and owner abuse.
Ditto to FN. I do the same but the last couple of matches the bolt failed to cock on closing (stiller action)I've had two that had to have the sears replaced. Exactly why I’ve managed to round up (5) BR spares at an average cost of $250 each. Two new ones and three slightly used. I too am nervous about ever finding spare parts.Ditto to FN. I do the same but the last couple of matches the bolt failed to cock on closing (stiller action)
several times. Sear shows an uneven wear pattern. I would just replace the sear piece if I could get one. Cleaned lighter fluid bore guide etc. Thanks for your input.
