I recently had to send my Jewel trigger in for repair. Something broke inside the housing during a competition while shooting my 6mm Dasher. The trigger would not allow the striker to drop.
Anyway, I called Jewell and explained what happened and that I need the trigger back asap since the matches are every 2 weeks. They said they were very busy and could not expidite mine. I sent it in that day.
Well, 4 weeks go by and I finally get a call saying that the trigger was broke and would cost $45.00 to fix it. So I gave my cc info over the phone for the repair. 5 days later, I received the trigger with a receipt for $59.75 charged to my cc. $45.00 for the repair and almost $15.00 for shipping. REALLY???? $15.00 shipping!
Needless to say, I am not happy about having to pay $60.00 to repair the trigger.
Almost every benchrest shooter I know has a Jewell trigger. I guess I an disgusted that the trigger broke in the first place and that it cost so much to fix and ship and that they were less than willing to get it back in a timely manner.
Looks like I will be swithching to Rifle Basix....
