Japanese translation

Hiragana is what I recognize as Japanese when I see it. To my eye it's less "busy" and more airy than what I recognize as Chinese. Korean I recognize by the circles/ovals and lines that don't appear in the other two.

The extent of my "reading" was to learn to recognize the kanji for station names so I knew when to get off of the trains. There was the time I misunderstood and got off at Kita Kamakura instead of Kamakura. I ended up with a nice hike, and some fun language barrier interactions trying to get directions. Oh yea, and in Japan I don't blend, I'm 6'4" and at the time I had a red beard :D.
