Jackie Schmidt shoots possible record at Midland.

In the HV/100 yd class, Jackie Schmidt posted a 0.1118 agg. This was done with a .30 caliber rifle (30 BR). His large group was a .153. For those who have not shot Midland, this is truly umbelievable. He shot a Krieger barrel, Farley action, and a Robertson stock. He used a tuner of his own design and a 50X March scope. Spectacular shooting. This would be hard to do in a dead calm. Jackie demolished the existing record in 15-20 mph conditions.

The 30 BR is an amazing little cartridge. Jackie was running a 112-grainer at 3020 fps.

Jackie your an overnite success....after 20yrs,,hahah....I shot for 40 yts before I got my first official record so I know how great of an acomplishment you have achieved....I hold the unofficia (shooting a HV in UL class) single target 10 shot with a bag gun record...(whew)....over the yrs I have shot a "few" groups in the low ones.....Butttt ...you have done what we all dream of doing ....an agg. in the LOW ones....and best evr with any bag gun....woowo... I think Gary Ocock shot one just a lil titer with his rail gun this spring....but not by much and not a bag gun....you definately were seeing the conditions and picking out YOUR condition every time....that shows good gun handling and wind reading skills....Congratulations to YOU....an unforgettable once in a lifetime day.....Roger
