It's that time of year. Let's see those kills.

Mike, The muley and whitetail have been crossbreeding in Wyoming. We would have a local wildlife biologist stop in our camp each year. He pointed out split characteristics on deer that we had taken.

Just curious, is there a transgender deer season in Wyoming? Then again maybe we shouldn't give the politicians any ideas since it'd be just another way to squeeze more $$$ out of hunters. :p

Someone needs to cross a elk with a deer so they bugle during the rut!
That picture is one beautiful 8pt for his age, I’m hoping to see him next year!

Blacktails get stuuuuupid during the rut.
I had a dandy standing 10' in front of my truck some years back, I was standing on my horn for over a minute and he never budged.
The down side was, it was late season archery hunt at the time. Bow was at home and I was just leaving on a road trip.

Way to go Mark. Good shot placement also.

Thank you! I practiced a lot and watched hours of bow kill compilations to study shot placement. The deer helped by presenting a perfect broadside shot well within my comfortable range.

Luck = Preparation Meets Opportunity.

mama says "we are out of roasts"

this was our Arkansas ML season-packed 5.1 miles to the road.

Not the buck of my dreams, but needed to end my bow season and get a few things accomplished before rifle season. I'm happy with him. Had fresh back straps on the grill tonight with my wife's fantastic homemade venison sauce and all the trimmings. Life is good!

My first ever coyote. Just shot him this morning,, he had no clue I was in a box stand. Only about 75 yrds and he was walking toward me.. sorry for the lousy picture quality.
Nice hide on that one, way to go! I saw one like that hunting in NJ, one time during the summer. He was almost black.
