It's that time of year. Let's see those kills.

shot this one with my bow last saturday morning. followed him thru the binos all the way up looking at his horns thinking, he's big, but he's only a 7ptr. I figured the the 10x binos were making him look much larger than he actually was, so I put them away. at this point he was right below me. he turned his head, and I could see how big his body was and how wide his rack was instead of just a side view. there were several expletives that came out, as there was no hesitation on the fact he was a shooter buck, 7 points or not. I had to wait a minute or two for him to turn as he had worked right below me. I put a quartering away shot on him, hit him halfway back and up, but exited the far shoulder low. he ran up the hill about 10 yards and turned to go back the way he came. he died 42 yards from the treestand. It is the largest body deer I have every killed, he field dressed 188#, rack was 22 5/8" outside. With a bow to top it off! talk about flipping out when I got down to look at him!! There was no ground shrinkage on him, I was pretty stoked. i had to make a few calls to borrow a 4wheeler from a friend. I spent most of the morning looking at him thru the binos from the tree hoping something else would come by. It was not fun dragging him to where I could get a 4wheeler too, or loading him, but it was worth every sore muscle! View attachment 1136017

OMG!!!
Well Done, Sir!

Helped a buddy of mine last week on a Coues hunt. His boy Ben, try as he might can't seem to pull a youth tag but was able to snag a leftover tag down in one of the border units. This was probably one of the funnest hunts I have been on for a long time. We were able to find this small buck first thing opening morning and set up for a shot across a canyon at 521 yards. I laid Ben down behind the 6XC and dialed the range on the scope. Ben made a perfect shot and his first Coues buck hit the dirt. It was a special hunt, I don't think I have seen a kid more happy and a dad more proud.

Simply stunning images, Congratulations on an outstanding group effort!

BEAUTIFUL BUCK!!

Did good this year. Kudu in the Eastern Cape, zebra and eland from the Free State. Kudu tastes exactly like blacktail deer.

Very nice sir! Do you have any other side view pics? I see something but can’t see it well enough.
What are you seeing?
I couldn't tell if he had some additional little points on rt side, or if it was the sticker on rear window

Unique rack on that buck, definitely worth a mount.
What puzzles me is he doesn't look hard horned, and there's snow on the ground.

that’s what a stag is. They have some kind issue and can’t breed anymore and their racks get all jacked up. Like they don’t shed their velvet. That’s my limited knowledge from forums and hunting shows. I could be wrong.
