Ithaca Mod 37 -- 12 and 16 guage

I had one myself. I used it more than any other gun that I have ever owned. It had a pheasant scene engraved on the receiver that could barely be seen anymore and you could parts would rattle if it was shaken. It killed on one end and injured on the other end, and it would fire each time a shell was chambered if the trigger wasn't released. I loved that gun.

I bought a model 37 12ga. at the Gun Show in Palm Beach County years ago. It was a full choke. I shot it quite a bit when I was shot shell reloading. I tired of it eventually and sold it to my boss's brother.

I have a few of them 12,20, nothing that a quality recoil pad can’t take care of.
Years ago on the police dept we still had 37’s and yes qualifying with them with buckshot and a hard plastic butpad would bruise you up for the weekend

I have one in 12ga. plain bbl mod choke it's like new made in 1948 has the Ithaca marked wood duck plug and the factory instruction tag

In a bad case of buck fever i pumped the 37 I had so hard that the spot welds broke that hold the steel tube in the forend to the action bar. The jerks at the Outdoor store forgot to send it to Ithica and found it a year later, I had called many times and they assured me they were waiting on it to come back.
