Ithaca 37 restoration

I had an old Ithaca 37 that needed love....and removable choke tubes and a ventilated rib.

Wrote an article about the journey on my web page

www.rvbprecision.com

Lots of pictures and verbiage. Hope you enjoy it

Nice write-up Roy. And nice website you've got. You take great pics.

I'm kind of old school about my gun finishes, but with some of the new ones I see you guys using, I'm wondering if traditional blue is a thing of the past. It could be that we've used it all these years for no real good reason. It seems to take a back seat to the newer coatings in most ways.

Model 37's are sweet indeed. jd

What choke tube system did you use? Tru choke or thinwall tru choke?
I’m about to do the same to a 12 and 20 gauge Ithaca

Thin wall TruChoke as this muzzle was very thin.

Trust me, I'd much rather have a nice rust blued or hot blued gun. I simply don't have the facilities to hot blue or the patience to polish a barrel to be blued.

This gun will be used as my "Rainy Day" gun as now it is nearly totally weatherproof.

Thanks
