Is this primer okay?

260 Remington, 39.5gr 4060, Sierra Pro Hunter 120gr, CCI 200 primers. Just started working with a new deer rifle, LH Savage mdl 10 action, Shilen Select Match SS barrel, 24", 1-9 twist.

Fired primer looks good. Cratering as mentioned is rifle related as many are prone to this.

A good number of my rifles will do what your pic shows. Bolt lift was ok you said so I'm all is good'. If bushing the bolt stops the primer cratering then if you enter a "None cratered primer match" you'll do well.
On the other hand if this particular load with that powder, in your rifle, and with that bullet
produced an outstanding tight group be sure to write the load down so you can continue to use it.
Cratered primer, flattened primed, and a normal bolt lift.....for me that's just fine.
Also the loads that I use which are not 'hot' (not a speed contest) but are quite accurate this is a normal occurrence. Pierced primers, heavy bolt lift....no good...
Of course you should always be looking for too high pressure signs but the cratering and flattening are not reliable indicators but nice to take note of.

Is the question "Rem 770" a dig at Remington ? Regardless, it was a Savage, so the poster said and the primer is fine, as is. Bush the bolt face, maybe if he/you want to spend some extra money.

I agree on the fp bushing. Also check firing pin protrusion. If it is excessive, you can get the same effect from that. I had two Impact Precisions that came with 0.070 or so fp protrusion. My primers looked similar and I would occasionally blank one on what are under max pressure loads. I shortened them to 0.040 and that cured the issue.

Does the primer on the right looked like it's canted? The front edge appears to be higher than the back.

On the fired case, firing pin crater- probably oversized firing pin hole. The edges appear to be still rounded - IF it was me, good to go.
