Is this a good range scale?

I saw this on midway. It is very highly rated compared to all the other scales. It’s cheap and runs on battery as well as ac. Has anybody tried this scale? Wanted something cheap for the range.

No! I purchased one and it was not satisfactory. In fact it could be dangerous to an inexperienced or careless reloader. I found it to be impossible to trickle up to a desired load. Most of the time as you added powder the scale would not respond like it was sticking. Other times it would stick on a reading and then suddenly release and jump to a higher reading. It was not repeatable. I could weigh the same bullet several times and get values 0.3 to 0.5 grains different. It also did not check using check weights. It cost too much to return so I posted an unsatisfactory review and trashed it.

I use Frankford intellidroper at the range and confirm it with a beam scale.. It has been dead on 98% of the time.
ETA, and I use hand trickler just in case.

I now use a Lyman Gen3. It appears to be a hit or miss proposition as to getting a good one. Some people including me have had good luck and others bad luck. I had one of the PACT dispensers and it was outstanding but they are not made any more and apparently nobody provides any repair service.

Thanks for saving me 35. Dollars

Get a ChargeMaster, preferably the ChargeMaster Lite. It is great for loading at the range for practice and in matches.

It’s all I use.

I know most long range shooters detest these, say they are not near accurate enough. But for 100 to 300 yard Benchrest, they work great.

Here is my setup fo 30 BR
