Is there a "politics-friendly" firearm forum

Lord knows I adore this website. I completely understand and respect the rule against political posts. Accurate Shooter will always be my go-to.

That being said, in the U.S. our constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms without infringement continues to be attacked and much more so as of late. I fear gun forums will morph from discussing the fun we have, to eventually, the fun we had.

Surely I'm not the only person here who wrestles with the temptation to make a point which might step over the line here. Is there a firearm forum which allows political discussion?

Again: This site is by every measure THE BEST. Hoping nobody is offended by my question.
 
Maybe the Boss could create a separate thread for politics only. Make it private for paying subscribers. Sort of a no holds bared thread, where you say what you want and can express your feelings.
 
You will do best by staying away from wallowing in that type of conversation. Your anger levels will be increased and many you meet there will infuriate you. The media has created and disseminated anger, hatred, and vitriol. In this digital era, "they" will even be able to dig your posts up and use them against you if they wish.

It's best left alone.
 
At times I feel like Knotwild, but I think it's the wrong approach. As a group I think conservatives and shooters tend to not make waves and let the rabble rousers spout off while we quietly go our own way. I think that has come around to hurt us in that younger generations only hear the garbage from the left. I think we need to speak up and not confront, but educate. I hear shooters say they won't wear a t shirt with anything on it about hunting or shooting. Don't wear some crude attempt at humour but be proud of your sport and let others know you support it. Let them see normal folks going about life who enjoys guns and the shooting sports.
