Is there a 80 grain 6MM Fowler Bullet still being made?

I'm interested in getting some Custom 6MM bullets, are the Fowler 80 gr's still being produced by someone. Are their some other good 6MM 80 gr custom bullets available?

I have a Savage f Class with the 8tw barrel and looking for a Good 80 gr bullet for shooting out to 400 yds. Any other suggestions?

Thanks

Bill Scheider from the best of my knowledge is no longer making the Fowler bullets

Try some Bart's bullets or some EPS bullets

Bart makes a 80 gr dominator that shoots great. Greg King has won 2 short range matches with them.

Barts and Precision Ballistics are really good, 80gr Bergers are pretty fair too. JME. WD

I'm curious, why not shoot something in the 103 to 108 weight? A 1/8 barrel will handle them and the BC will be higher. Just asking.

I will be shooting a 105 gr Berger Hybrid in the future. I just really wanted to try the 80 gr Bullets to see what they could do as well. I am new to the 6MM BR and am curious to see what I can do with my new rifle.

Have you shot the 80 gr and 108 gr bullets and if so what kind of groups have you seen with the 2 of them in good shooting conditions. My thoughts are possibly shooting the 80's in good conditions?? and shooting some of the 105's in not so nice conditions. ?? shooting anything over 300 yds is new to me and I have not shot that much @ 300 yds. Thanks.

I what to thank everyone on this site for all the information that they share here, and the help that everyone is willing to share as well. I have done a lot of reading here and it's the information shared on this site that stirred me towards a 6MM BR. ( oh I have to admit that the Grinch sounds interesting as well as my local informal competition shooting is against some 6 ppc's and I would like to be a little more competitive against them in the 100/200 shooting arenas). :)

I suspect some 80 gr Barts will be in my future, I just have to see what they can do at 300 yds and out....

I haven't shot any 80 grain bullets since I quit shooting my 1/12 LRPV. They shot great out to 300 yards. I shoot mostly 600 yard ibs. On 144 5 shot groups last year (all 103 - 108 grain) my average was 3.21" with a standard deviation of 1.16". I know others who shoot much tighter than that, but that's all of my record targets, all conditions, nothing cherry picked.
Again, just asking, for 100 - 200 yards why not go with the 30BR?

I've shot the 80 berger's in my 8twist cbi barrel with good results out to two hundred. Haven't tried any custom yet but I say you won't be disappointed

Average of 3.21, Good Shooting - that would put a smile on my face.

We mostly just have fun shoots, A local range (Currently 300 yd) is talking about clearing more trees and having fun shoots out to 600 in the future. They will go to 400 to start with. So when I started looking at calibers to shoot out to the longer ranges the 6mm BR came up and that's how I decided to give the 6MM BR a try (no turned necks for me), just find a good load and shoot the best you can . In our fun shoots its about hitting the small target, rear bags are not allowed. Seeing I was competing with a few 6ppc's I thought I would get the 6MM BR and try to get ready for the longer yardages as well. I have heard that the 30 BR kicks somewhat more, is that true? We are mostly a bunch of older guys just trying to have some fun shooting. it's more about bragging rights for a day, I was hoping to have my days against the 6 ppc's.

80 gr Berger's shoot very well. I am sure the new Barts would be very good.
